Description

The Toronto Carpet Manufacturing Factory building is a reminder of the many industries that once occupied Liberty Village in the early 20th century. The factory’s state-of-the-art architecture was very similar to other industrial buildings built in the U.S. and Britain during the late 19th century. The factory complex, which was built over several phases between 1899 and the 1920s, was built in a unique style with a large perimeter of buildings surrounding a powerhouse.
