Description
Tour participants learn about the Sculptor's Cabin at Guild Park built in 1940 by Danish wood sculptor Aage Madsen. The carvings that currently decorate the cabin were created by Dorsey James, the first Black Canadian artist inducted into the Ontario Society of Artists. They were recreated from originals made by Madsen representing figures from Norse mythology, specifically from the 13th-century Völsunga Saga.
