Queer St. West" sign, Queen Street West, March 2023.
Description
“Queer St. West” signs were designed by the West Queen West BIA in the early 2000s to popularize the neighbourhood for pride. These signs became a staple of Queer West and helped highlight the area’s queer history, but inaccurately described its area as running from Bathurst to Gladstone, the West Queen West boundaries.
