Description
For Doors Open, Heritage Toronto partnered with TD for the first time post-pandemic to offer in-person tours of the 54th floor of the TD Bank Tower - Toronto's first high-rise Modern office tower. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the building set a standard for urban development in the city, and today is home to some of Canada's best preserved 1960s corporate interiors.
Small groups of 25 were lead through the spaces including the Boardroom. The 36-foot table, made from solid English Brown Oak, was so large it had to be craned into building before the windows were installed. It has not moved since.
