Description
Faith Mosque located at 182 Rhodes Avenue was the founding location of the Islamic Foundation of Toronto was established in 1969, making it one of the oldest mosques in the city. This building is where the foundation and east end islamic community grew until the current location in Scarborough was established in 1984. It served as a community space and place of worship for many muslim working and living in the Bazaar, but also from surrounding Toronto areas. It is now owned by United Canadian Muslims, who purchased the building in 1993 and is now known as Fatih Mosque.
