Description
The second location of the Womens Welcome Hostel in Toronto, which was established to welcome British women who had come to Canada to work as domestic servants. The first location was at 66 Wellesley Street from 1905 to 1911. This hostel and others like it provided domestic servants with opportunities to socialize, arranged jobs, and a place to sleep when needed.
