Description

Friends of Old City Hall took public action to save the building for public use when its demolition seemed imminent in the 1960s. Among their efforts, they scrubbed a portion of the façade–which had all turned dark grey over the years–to show that the building still had a lot of beauty to it. City Councillors took note.
