Description

The building on 519 Church Street in Toronto used to be the Granite Club circa 1900s and was the place where the incident that instigated the Taylor vs Orpen case occurred. The "Taylor vs Orpen" is one of the earliest cases of Black people standing up for themselves against racial segregation in Toronto in the beginning of the 20th century.
