Description
1912 Designed by the Office of the City Architect under the management of Robert McCallum, this Edwardian Classical-style building was constructed as Police Station No. 11 serving the area bounded by St. George, Christie, and College Streets, and by St. Clair Avenue West. In 1975, the police station became an ambulance station that included training and administration facilities for paramedics. The City of Toronto ambulance service headquarters was located here until 1981.
