Chr. Hansen's Laboratory Heritage Property Plaque, 2018
Description
Architect Earle L. Sheppard designed this factory in a blend of Art Deco and Art Moderne styles for Chr. Hansen’s Laboratory, a Danish maker of dairy products such as rennet, an enzyme used in cheese making, and powdered desserts. Essential oil company Norda took over the building in 1957. It became part of the Perfume Factory Lofts in the 1990s.
