Description

1919
Businessman Frank Denison built this house when the Casa Loma area was developing into a desirable residential neighbourhood. It was designed by notable Toronto architecture firm Wickson & Gregg in the Period Revival style, influenced by classical and English medieval architecture and by the Arts and Crafts movement. From 1921 until his death in 1958, it was home to Charles Neilson, heir to the William Neilson Co.,
one of the largest makers of ice cream and chocolate in the British Empire. In 2015, the house was restored and remodelled into a contemporary home.
Designated under the Ontario Heritage Act, 2013.
