Description
Tour participants learn about the origins of our legal system at Osgoode Hall. This national historic site, co-owned by the Ontario Government and Law Society of Upper Canada, was completed in 1832 with additions made throughout its existence. Named after William Osgoode, the first Chief Justice of Upper Canada, Osgoode Hall was the only provincially-accredited law school until 1957. The architectural style is Palladian and Neoclassical with Victorian wrought-iron fence.
