Description

Members of the public stop to read the plaque on the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, located on Bremner Blvd in Roundhouse Park.

From the 1880s to the 1990s, this site was the Toronto Locomotive and Car Facilities of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). Here, sleeping car porters prepared passenger cars for overnight journeys across Canada.
