Description
Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot speaks to the crowd gathered in the Masonic Temple for a triple plaque presentation celebrating Yorkville's role in developing Canada's music scene. Two of the plaques commemorate live music venues (The Purple Onion and the Penny Farthing), and one focuses on Yorkville’s thriving 1960s/1970s music scene, which helped launch Lightfoot's career.
The evening included free tours of the Masonic Temple, and a musical performance from Luke and the Apostles.
