Description
This arch is one example of the facades and fragments of more than 50 demolished buildings that Spencer Clark, and his wife Rosa collected and displayed amid the grounds and gardens of The Guild Inn. The Clarks owned and operated the Guild Inn, which was designed in the Arts and Crafts style.
Here, tour participants explore the brick and stone entranceway from the Granite Club (1926) from the earlier location at 63 St. Clair. Ave. West. With a close look at the keystone, one can identify the club’s initials and symbols – a curling stone and two corn brooms.
