Description
Tour participants stand in front of the new addition to the Toy Factory Lofts, one of the industrial buildings that shows adaptive reuse into condos and creative spaces in Liberty Village.
The Toy Factory Lofts were home to the Irwin Toy Company, which started as an importer and distributor of dry goods and clothing in 1926. The Irwins bought the old paper factory on Hanna Avenue in 1940. When the sons took over the business, they added the distribution of wholesale toys to the company’s portfolio and eventually Irwin distributed the famous toys of the 80s and 90s.
