Description
Tour participants stand in front of the Toronto Carpet Factory, one of the industrial buildings that shows adaptive reuse into condos and creative spaces in Liberty Village.
The Toronto Carpet Manufacturing Company dominated the northwest corner of Liberty Village for several decades. Workers at the factory campaigned for better conditions, inspiring others to do the same and contributing to the development of our modern labour laws. Today, the old factory has been converted into modern office spaces.
