Description
This portrait of sculptor Frances Loring was taken by M.O. Hammond in 1931. Born in Idaho, U.S., in 1887, Loring was an acclaimed sculptor and an avid supporter of Canadian arts, known for her unique sculpting style. One of her most well-known works is the Queen Elizabeth Way Monument in Toronto, designed in 1939.
