Construction at Eglinton Ave. West subway station, Toronto, September 22, 2020.

Description

The construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT has made construction cranes, trucks and barriers a common sight on Eglinton Ave. Originally meant to be completed in 2021, Metrolinx's current estimate for completion is sometime late in 2023. Since construction began, more than 140 businesses have shut down in the Little Jamaica neighbourhood. This impact was amplified when the Covid-19 pandemic started in 2020.
