Reggae Lane Mural, Eglinton Ave. West, Toronto, September 3, 2020.

Description

Dozens of residents, reggae enthusiasts, and musicians contributed ideas for this Reggae Lane Mural designed by artist Adrian Hayles. Situated in the Little Jamaica neighbourhood, the mural, along with a plaque erected in 2015, celebrate the rich local music history of the community. The mural pays homage to many musicians, featuring legendary Little Jamaica resident artists: Leroy Sibbles, Jay Douglas, Jackie Mittoo (and more), as well as key figures such as Haile Selassie, Bob Marley and the Skatalites.
