Claude Thompson, Regional Manager of JN Money Services, speaks about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on his business, Eglinton Avenue West, September 3, 2020.
Description
JN Money Services has been on Eglinton Avenue West for over 30 years. This business allows members of the Caribbean diaspora to send money “back home” to the islands - including places such as Jamaica, Antigua, Barbados, Haiti, Dominica and Guyana.
Claude Thompson, JN Money Regional Manager, explains that while the company has seen a drop in sales since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, much like most businesses throughout the world during 2020, people in the Little Jamaica community still sent money to friends and family back home in the Caribbean. He credits this to benevolence.
