Description
The Canadian Pacific Railway was one of the major railway companies that helped to shape the Junction Triangle in the last few decades of the nineteenth century, establishing many of the railway lines that now border the Junction "Triangle." The C.P.R. also built three stations in the area just west of the Junction Triangle. The final station to be built, known as the West Toronto Station, was built in 1911 and didn't close until 1978. The station was demolished in 1982 despite community attempts to save it.
