Description
Tour leader Jason Lee, winner of our 2018 Volunteer Service Award, began leading tours with Heritage Toronto in 2013. He speaks passionately about the value of community heritage, and the importance of honouring the legacy of his parents and grandparents—some of the first Korean restauranteurs in Toronto.
Here, we see him at the Korean Village Restaurant, opened by his parents 40 years ago after they immigrated to Canada. It remains one of the oldest businesses in Koreatown.
