Projectile point excavated from the Withrow Archaeological Site in 1886, circa 3000 BCE.
Description
This projectile point was found during the 1886 excavation of the Withrow site, along with scrapers, chisels, and axes. The human remains were located in an ossuary, a communal grave where bodies were placed after being removed from their primary burial sites as part of a Wendat spiritual custom called the Feast of the Dead.
