Description
This home was constructed by Taylor Butler, a builder who owned a wood-planing mill on Queen Street East. Butler House is in the Bay and Gable style, a popular design in Toronto in the late 1800s. Taylor Butler was the home’s first resident. Over 30 years, he built 10 other houses on First Avenue.
