Description
Ojibwe Friendship Belt replica by Brian Charles, 2019. Before treaties with Europeans, local Indigenous Nations made treaties with one another through wampum belts, beaded with white and purple shells. These belts are an agreement or relationship between Nations and are tied to oral tradition, as each carries promises to remember and recite.
