Description
Participants on the Yonge Street Architecture tour stand in front of the main doors of Massey Hall. Businessman and philanthropist, Hart Massey had this hall built as a memorial to his son Charles, a talented business man and pianist, who had died in 1884. Built in 1894, Hart Massey hoped it would cultivate and promote an interest in music education and good citizenship, among other attributes.
