Description
In 1890, William Lea gave Reverend T. W. Paterson a half-acre of his apple orchard in York Township (present-day Leaside) as a site for a mission church. In 1909, the church was renamed in honour of St. Cuthbert. It was the only church in the area in 1913, when the City of Leaside was formally incorporated. The current building opened in 1914, though has been significantly expanded since then.
