Description
The St. George is often identified as Toronto's first purpose-built apartment building. Also known as the St. George Mansions, the building was located at the south-west corner of St. George and Harbord Streets. It was built in an Edwardian Classical style with a central court with a fountain decorated with flower beds. Completed in 1902, the building featured six storeys with 35 units.
