Description
This house was built by contractor Charles McClelland for Parkdale lawyer John Douglas. It was one of seven houses on this street that Douglas financed and then sold. The houses are in the Bay and Gable style, a popular design in Victorian Toronto, with a steep roof set over a large window. The first occupant was James M. Mulhall, a bookkeeper for the Canada Railway News Company. In 1940, Fred Harasymchuk, a maintenance worker, moved in with his wife, Lena. They had seven children: Ann, Mary, Mitch, Peter, Agnes, Bill, and Danny. Mary lived here for 79 years.
