Description
Following the opening of Toronto General Hospital's College Street location in 1913, it expanded several times during the 1920s and 1930s to offer new services and to increase the number of patient beds. New wings were built along University Avenue, providing an additional 280 beds as well as updated pathology and radiology services. The new wings eventually became the core buildings for Toronto General. The hospital vacated the historic 1913 College Street wing, which was later sold to the MaRS Centre in 2002.
