Description
Members of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre celebrate their new home at 12 Alexander Street. Buddies put in a bid in 1990 to take over the empty theatre. Buddies submitted the bid as part of a theatre collective (known as the Edge) with other performing arts companies, such as Native Earth Performing Arts. Another bid won out in the end, but by the time it was approved in 1991 the winning bid, the Alexander Street Theatre Project, were no longer in Toronto. The reformed Edge took on the building, with Buddies in Bad Times assuming complete responsibility for running the theatre.
