Description
Emerging historian Sarah Takhar leads the Big Stories in Little India tour on Gerrard Street East. Here, she provides some context behind the Four-D mural on Woodfield at Gerrard East by artists Alexa Hatanaka and Patrick Thompson. The 2013 mural, made possible by the City of Toronto and Gerrard India Bazaar, uses imagery of South Asian textile design.
Sarah is a researcher and museum educator who is passionate about investigating heritage through a transnational lens, and exploring the cross-cultural connections of history.
