Description
In the early 1900s, there was an overlap between the use of horse-drawn milk delivery wagons and electric delivery vans. Despite the advantages of a motorized vehicle for deliveries, they often ran into problems. They could not handle the cold very well and got stuck on steep hills. Many milk men chose to use the more reliable (if slower) horse-drawn wagon, well into the 1950s. As shown here, companies utilized both methods.
