Description
During the Indigenous Roots tour, participants learn about Egerton Ryerson and his contribution to the residential school system in Canada at this stop at the university formerly named for him. The stop also features a historical plaque by the Ontario Heritage Trust on Ryerson. The university committed to a renaming process in 2021 as an important contribution to the practices of anti-colonialism and equity.
