Description
Briny the bull and Jerry the goat, leaders at the Union Stock Yards, 1909. These so-called Judas animals were trained to lead animals to slaughter. A major local employer in West Toronto Junction, the stockyards dealt mostly in pigs and cattle. The stockyards also supported several nearby abattoirs.
