Description
Lawn bowling, Toronto, 1908. Lawn bowling is played on a field called a green. Players roll weighted balls on the green toward a ball called a jack. The ball closest to the jack wins. Lawn bowling has been played in England since the 1200s and grew popular in Toronto in the early 1900s.
