Description
Tour participants visit the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse: the oldest school in Toronto, established in 1848 by its namesake, a wealthy local brewer. Toronto’s first free school, it also played a large role in the development of our current education system. Tour participants learn about this history and its connection to racial segregation in education.
