Emerging historian Jeremie Caribou describes the legacy of the residential school system in Canada, initiated in part by Egerton Ryerson. During the tour, participants learn about this history at this stop at the Toronto Metropolitan University formerly named for him. The stop also features a historical plaque by the Ontario Heritage Trust on Ryerson. The university committed to a renaming process in 2021 as an important contribution to the practices of anti-colonialism and equity.
