Description
The craft facilities on the property served a purpose beyond just catering to the artists staying there and their fans. At a time when Toronto lacked such amenities, the Inn also operated as a military hospital for shellshock victims between 1944 and 1947. During this period, the craft facilities were used for therapeutic and rehabilitative purposes, aiding in the treatment of the patients there.
