Description
George Luscombe was born in East York in 1926. He was turned on to both the theatre and democratic socialist politics from a young age, when he joined a chapter of the CCF club that his brother founded. There he met a drama instructor, Ann Marshall, who inspired him with her vision of theatre as a means of engaging with the world and its politics. Luscombe went on to redefine the theatrical landscape with his approach to storytelling and performance.
