Description
The Arts and Crafts movement consisted of a group of architects, teachers, and craftspeople who worked together with their patrons to integrate beautiful hand-crafted items into everyday living. The movement was most prominent between the 1890s and World War I, and it was exemplified by houses like the one pictured above. In this example, one can see typical elements such as small-paned windows and a low-pitched roof with exposed beams.
