Description
Dora Moore's instructor at the Margaret Eaton School, Emma Scott Raff, believed that the human voice and the spoken word were the most vital elements in both education and the theatre. Emma introduced Dora to the plays of the Irish Revival and Shakespeare, hoping to inspire Dora and her fellow students to develop their own national theatre literature. There, she developed a lifelong love for Shakespeare and a keen understanding of how to teach theatre.
