Description
McGregor's Ropewalk on the Goad’s Atlas of the City of Toronto, 1884. The ropewalk is highlighted in orange and the name McGregor written to the right of it. Many rope makers lived in the community and are recorded in directories and local tax assessment records. The McGregor family, including Alice McGregor, Archibald’s wife, owned land the business was on along St. Clarens Avenue.
