Description

This scene at Evergreen Brick Works is from the Weston Family Quarry Garden, a showcase for a rehabilitated wetlands environment. Admist the lily pads, a native painted turtle OR red-eared slider rests on a log. Red eared sliders were introduced through the pet industry and are often released into the wild when too large or inconvenient to care for.
