Description

Tour participants learn about Toronto's library system. Here, they visit the former location of Toronto's first central library, built in 1909. The library opened with a collection of 97,000 books.

Purchased by the University of Toronto in 1980, the building - now a historical site - serves as the current location of the university bookstore.
