Description
The Queen's Hotel was one of the most well-known hotels in the city. Originally built as a group of row houses by Toronto architect John Howard in 1844, the Queen's Hotel opened in 1862 and included over 200 rooms, a restaurant, and a garden. The hotel closed in 1927 to allow the Canadian Pacific Railway to start construction of the Royal York Hotel.
