Description
Born in Independence, Missouri, Dr. Daniel Hill came to Canada to study at the University of Toronto in 1950. He married American civil rights activist Donna Bender in 1953. In 1962, Dr. Hill was appointed head of the Ontario Human Rights Commission. Later, he formed Canada’s first consulting firm focused on human rights and was Ontario’s
ombudsman. He and Donna Hill had three children: Dan, Lawrence, and Karen.
