Description
Event participants celebrate the unveiling of a plaque on long-time Kensington Market residents, Alice and Dan Heap. Community organizers, trade unionists, and socialists, they dedicated their lives to providing jobs and housing for all.
They lived at 29 Wales Avenue with their seven children from 1968 to 1990. Their home was a centre for political activism with an open door to people needing shelter.
The event was organized with Councillor Joe Cressy's office.
