Description
Numerous people were present when the Duke of Connaught, Governor General of Canada, opened the the Wellesley Hospital on August 27, 1912. Sir Wilfrid Laurier, former Prime Minister, can be seen in the centre of the group. Sir William Mulock stands on the far right. Dr. Herbert Alexander Bruce, the hospital's founder, is on the far left with Joseph Wesley Flavelle, president of William Davies Co and a noted Toronto philanthropist, to his right.
